02Kerala permit routes
K-SMART and self-certification need an eligibility check.
Kerala LSGD lists general and self-certified new-building permits as separate K-SMART services. The self-certified route is not a blanket approval for every house: the plot, proposal, applicable rules and professional declarations must be checked first.
The building owner and applicable empanelled licensee have statutory responsibilities. An architect or chartered engineer prepares the drawing in K-SMART. Homeland can discuss documentation coordination, but any professional appointment, submission responsibility and follow-up must be agreed for the specific project. Neither eligibility nor permit issuance is guaranteed.
